Does anyone else feel like this year flew by as fast as the Lightning Rod coaster at Dollywood? What a whirlwind 2024 has been! Our second year owning Good Fortune has been full of growth, learning, and change for all of us. Looking back, we’re filled with gratitude for all the ways our Good Fortune family has come together this year, and we can’t help but feel excited for what’s next!
We started the year exploring new products to improve the quality and lower the toxic load in our skincare line. And in April, we were so excited to launch these new products at our second annual Spring Soiree. While we love each one for different reasons, the antioxidant oil and cucumber mint cream have been clear fan favorites!
In May, we bid farewell to our make-and-take experience and welcomed a wonderful new partnership with Happy Company Candles. Saying goodbye to make-and-take was bittersweet, but the candle-making workshops from HCC are absolutely top-notch! We’re excited that in 2025, they’ll be adding new Makers workshops, including apparel making—how cool is that? You can explore their upcoming offerings here.
The biggest achievement of 2024 was opening a new head spa room and blow dry bar. Converting the blue room and office into elegant spaces was no small feat. The months of June and July consisted of late nights, pivoting when the 100-year-old building delivered surprises, and help from friends brought this dream to life!
Our estheticians, Shannon and Debbie, took our vision for the flow and feel of the experience and ran with it! They helped the dream come to life! This luxurious service is delivered with the intention of bringing refreshing tranquility to the soul. We can honestly say there’s not another service like it! We believe that to whom much is given, much is expected. That’s why giving back to our community is such a priority for us. This year we were proud to support a new non-profit in downtown Chattanooga, The Oasis Center. If you stroll past its location at 706 Market St, you might just spot our logo on the window covers!
We were also privileged to send self-care supplies to a very small community in North Carolina via a client who went to help friends after the hurricane. Knowing these products went directly to families that lost everything was humbling. Finally, this holiday season, we partnered with Family Forward at Signal Centers to provide self-care items to local families in need.
